Captured just after half past midnight, Lampi Su Garda shows the raw power of a summer storm rolling across Lake Garda. I’d been tracking the system for hours, watching tracker apps showing flashes in the distance, anticipating it making its way closer to Torbole. By 11pm I was on the lakeshore, camera set up and ready, waiting for the moment when light and landscape would collide.
The storm finally broke not long past midnight, illuminating the mountains in electric blue. Each strike carved across the sky with incredible intensity. I stayed and watched as it thudered over the mountains until one in the morning, capturing the balance between chaos and beauty that defines nights like this.
