Art Deco Alignment
Worthing Pier, Worthing, West Sussex
From a distance, Worthing Pier becomes a thin line across the horizon as the sun drops directly behind it. The compression of the lens enlarges the sun, turning it into a dominant shape that sits directly against the structure. The alignment holds briefly. Everything sits in place for a moment before the sun slips lower and the spacing breaks. The scene reduces to a clean arrangement of line and form while it lasts.
