STEWART READING-BROWN

Editions

Every piece you see in my collections is released in limited numbers.

That isn’t about creating urgency — it’s about keeping the work consistent, and making sure each image holds its place over time. When something is collected, it stays that way. There are no reprints, no second runs, and nothing quietly added back in later.

What Limited Means

Each artwork is produced across a small number of sizes, and each of those sizes exists as its own independent edition.

That means a Small print is not part of the same edition as a Medium or Large. Each one has its own limit, its own availability, and its own lifecycle.

For example, a Small edition may still be available while the Statement size of the same image has already been fully collected. They don’t affect one another — they simply coexist as different expressions of the same work.

Size and Scale

The different sizes aren’t just about dimensions — they change how the work sits in a space.

Smaller pieces tend to be more personal. They suit quieter areas, or places where the work is discovered rather than immediately seen.

As the scale increases, so does the presence. Medium and Large prints begin to anchor a room, while the Statement size is designed to hold it entirely.

Because of that shift in impact, the number of available pieces reduces as the size increases. Larger works are produced in smaller numbers, carrying more weight both visually and physically.

Availability and Progression

Each size is tracked independently, and as pieces are collected, the edition gradually closes.

I wanted to be fully transparent with you, so you will see counters attributed to each size, only decreaseing once something has actually been collected..

When an Edition Sells Out

If every size of an artwork has been collected, the piece moves into the Vault.

At that point, it remains visible on the site, but it is no longer available to purchase in any form.

The Vault

Sold-out limited editions will continue to appear in the Vault.

The Vault exists as a record of completed pieces within my collections. These photographs remain viewable, but they are no longer available to purchase.

Its purpose is not to reopen availability, but to preserve the integrity and history of my work.

Why This Structure

There are simpler ways to sell prints, but they tend to lead to the same outcome — too many copies, too little distinction, and no real sense of permanence.

Choosing to operate this way allows the photographs to exist at different scales without losing their integrity, and it gives each version of the piece a clear place within the collection.

For you, it means you’re not just choosing an image — you’re choosing how that image exists in your space, and knowing that version will remain exactly as it is.
